Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOS AFTER our PHOTO SESSION?
A: Your ONLINE proofing gallery will be set up no later than four weeks (28 days) following the shoot date. An online gallery for photo viewing and downloadING will be available the same evening or the following morning.
Q: MAY I SHARE PHOTOS ONLINE?
A: YES. Sharing photos online is allowed and encouraged! WHEN SHARING PHOTOS online credit shall be given to Ina Soulis Photography or tagged as such.
Q: MAY I PRINT PHOTOS ANYWHERE I’D LIKE?
A: YES. Print release is given with DIGITAL images, meaning you may self-print photos on your own accord from any vendor you may select. Keep in mind, I do NOT guarantee the quality of the product when you do any self-printing.
Q: MAY I SELL PHOTOS?
A: NO. Ina Soulis Photography owns full copyrights to all images. Images may not be used for commercial or editorial purposes without written consent from Ina Soulis Photography.
Q: WILL YOU (the photographer) SHARE MY PHOTOS ONLINE OR ANYWHERE ELSE?
A: YES, SOME. HOWEVER, I ALWAYS INFORM MY CLIENTS BEFORE DOING SO MAKING SURE THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH IT. WE WOULD DISCUSS THIS IN MORE DETAIL PRIOR SIGNING THE AGREEMENT.
Q: WHEN AND HOW DO I PAY FOR YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES?
A: Payments may be made via Interact transfer or cash.
Q: WHY DO I NEED TO PAY DEPOSIT?
A: Upon signing a photography session agreement, you agree to pay a non-refundable deposit totalling 50% (fifty-percent) of the total price of the photography services. The deposit payment reserves my time. I agree to not advertise availability of this same time slot to any other potential clients. Therefore, if the you cancel the service for any reason, the deposit will not be returned in order to offset the loss of business.
Q: DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH OUTSIDE OF OTTAWA?
A: Absolutely! Please contact me directly to discuss further details.
Q: MAY I RE-CHEDULE OR CANCEL MY PHOTOSHOOT SESSION?
A: You may reschedule the Photoshoot Session 14 days before the agreed date with no extra charge. However, you shall understand that my availability might be limited at that time and rescheduling might not be possible at your preferred date. If, for any reason, you decide to cancel the SESSION, deposit will not be refunded.
Q: IF THE WEATHER IS UNFORTUNATE, CAN WE RE-SCHEDULE AT NO EXTRA COST?
A: If the weather doesn’t allow me to perform to the best of my abilities, we will discuss and decide to re-schedule a session for another day at no extra charge.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM RUNNING LATE?
A: If you are running late, the session may remain to the agreed time upon length. If you are more than 20 minutes late, a re-schedule may be necessary with an additional, non-refundable Deposit Fee. Any re-schedule will be set at the earliest mutually available appointment date and time.
Q: CAN I EDIT AND ALTER IMAGES?
A: NO. The product images that I deliver are given in their final edited form and may NOT be edited in any way by anyone, including adding filters. You agree that the finished artwork product that I deliver is the copyrighted image and is final.
Q: I WOULD LIKE TO BOOK YOUR SERVICES FOR AN EVENT? WILL YOU GUARANTEE THAT ALL GUESTS ATTENDING THE EVENT WILL BE TAKEN PICTURES OF?
A: NO. You are responsible for (or have someone designated for this responsibility) identifying people/objects of whom/which particular photographs are desired. I will NOT be held accountable for not photographing desired people if there is no one to assist in identifying or gathering people for the photograph(s). You are also responsible for identifying any individual/s that do not desire to be photographed.
Q: I HAVE SPECIAL REQUESTS. ARE YOU ABLE TO MEET THEM?
A: Please advise me with any special requests you may have as soon as possible. I cannot guarantee to meet them all, but I will try my best to do. Packages are mostly flexible and can be altered to your needs. Extra fees might fees might apply.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR A PHOTOSHOOT?
A: Clothing may have a great impact on the final results of your photography. Avoid prints and patterns, including logos as much as possible. I also advice avoiding short sleeve clothing and short pants/skirts. As for accessories – don’t overdo it, since it can be a major distraction. Simple and minimal works best. If I were you, I would tone down bright colours. When choosing lighter colors, stick to pastels, but avoid pink tones. Pale yellow and pale blue work well, especially with jeans or kaki pants. These colours work great in nature for example, if you have a photography session booked during sunset. Most importantly, wear something that reflects your style, personality, and makes you feel comfortable! You are always able to change to a different outfit UP TO 2 TIMES during OUR photoshoot.
Q: WHO WILL DECIDE ON THE LOCATION?
A: If you have a specific location in mind – PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE. Otherwise, we will discuss and determine the best location that reflects your vision and style. I’m based in Ottawa, ONTARIO, however, I am willing to travel for you! Keep in mind, travel expenses most likely will have to be covered by you when going outside of Ottawa.
Q: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR A PHOTOSHOOT SESSION?
A: I am able to work any time of the day according to your schedule. However, weather conditions might affect final results. Generally, early mornings and evenings are the best for natural light photography. I would highly suggest aiming for those timings, especially “Golden Hour’ - a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky. Mornings and afternoons are the best for indoor sessions.
Q: MAY WE USE PROPS DURING OUR PHOTOSHOOT SESSION?
A: Please inform upon booking your session if you’d like me to prepare some specific props for your session. I will be always providing props during themed SESSIONS for you to choose from. In addition, feel free to bring any props: blankets, outfit changes, accessories and/or personal belongings to your photoshoot session. I am capturing moments for you to cherish for years to come, thus anything that reflects you and your family is more than welcome.
Q: CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT CERTIFICATE?
A: YES. Gift certificates can come in any denomination to put toward the cost of any session.
