Even though the spring is just around the corner here in Ottawa and I am booking a lot of family sessions to be photographed outside on-location, I continue to love the uniqueness of each session inside a client’s home. As I am writing this sentence, I can feel goosebumps on my skin. That’s how powerful and in a way challenging in-home sessions are. And today I wanted to share this cozy maternity session I did for Emilie and Steve. I will be photographing their sweet baby girl soon and I simply cannot wait. I wish them an easy and blissful transition becoming parents and I hope when I visit them again for their lifestyle newborn session (or bump into somewhere at the grocery store since we are basically neighbours here in Kanata), they won’t mind me giving them a big hug and celebrating parenthood together.Read More
Lifestyle Newborn sessions at the comfort of my clients’ homes are so dear to my heart. They inspire me greatly, and I feel honoured to be chosen to document such sweet and intimate time with a newborn baby.
Besides taking photos of those first snuggles, itty bitty baby bits, and all the emotion and love I see in parents’ eyes, my goal is also to make everyone feel at ease about the upcoming photo session and during it. This guide is here to help you prepare for those few hours that we are going to be hanging out and creating beautiful photographs together. I want to help you feel comfortable and confident, so you feel thrilled with your images and the overall experience.Read More
Turning one is always so much fun! It’s a milestone that everyone is so excited about. The best part is probably tasting the cake, sometimes for the very first time! Traditionally, the cake smash session goes one way or another: the little one loves the cake and doesn’t want to stop eating, or he/she wants nothing to do with it.
Clara was very lady like and decided to nibble on the cake and take her time. It’s like she was trying on purpose not to make any mess. Things changed when her brother Rory joined and showed her all the little tricks of cake smashing. It was so beautiful to watch them both have fun. Yesterday, it was the National Siblings Day and I thought of this session right away, because it was evident how much they mean to one another and how blessed they are to have a sibling.Read More
It’s my first official spring here in Ottawa and I am so excited! Also, I waited long enough for winter to take a break (I bet I’m not alone) and there’s no way I’ll be missing the beauty of spring as it leaves imprints on everything around. And I want to take you along with me!
I am offering Spring Mini Sessions throughout May in the Dominion Arboretum where we will be having a little adventure together and creating gorgeous images surrounded by the awakening of nature when the days are warm, and everything is blossoming!Read More
